How to improve flexability?

We all know that there are certain prerequisites for being an amazing, memorable lover: Strength, [words=http://fleshlight.sjv.io/c/348327/302851/4702]Stamina[/words], Skill, Openmindedness, Self Confidence, etc. There are of course many more things to take into consideration, but you get the idea. Something else that I think is necessary to being a good love is flexability (Physically, not necessarily emotionally or intellectually.)

So (After that disgustingly longwinded introduction) my question is this: In school we were always taught that 30 seconds of streching per muscle was enough to improve flexability, but that doesn't seem like nearly enough to me (Especially when we're talking about streching our cocks for an hour a day for 1/16" gains!) but at the same time, I'm sure there's a point at which holding the stretch longer won't do any good. So:

How long should I hold a stretch to see the best gains in the shortest period of time?

How often should I stretch per week?

Does stretching require a recovery period?

Are there any supplements that would assist in improving flexability?

Aside from Yoga and Pilates are there any good exercise styles that improve flexability?

Your respective inputs would be most welcome, 'cause as it is I'm about as flexable as, um... glass, or something.

Thanks!

Hey Harmonic,

You post some very good questions, and I will try to answer most of them to the best of my abilities.
How long should I hold a stretch to see the best gains in the shortest period of time?
I would say 30-60 seconds.
How often should I stretch per week?
I would say every day is safe and most productive.
Does stretching require a recovery period?
I don't think there is a significant recovery period...certainly not longer than 24 hours.
Are there any supplements that would assist in improving flexability?
Hmmm...maybe fish oil, but that is probably all that is worth trying.
Aside from Yoga and Pilates are there any good exercise styles that improve flexability?
Well, I do Combat Conditioning and Combat Abs from www.mattfurey.com/products
He has a product out called Combat Stretching and Flexibility Secrets of the Chinese Acrobats...both of them--actually all four are worth checking out.

Hope this helps.

you can stretch everyday...there are also many different types of yoga so you should look into a few that involve stretching as the core...some focus more on form and breathing.

The first muscle that you supposed to stretch is your hip flexor muscle thats above your quads....Ummm...in order to do this (I will try to explain) is go into a lung position so that your right knee is on the floor and your left leg is in a 90 degree angle. You are then to do a thrusting motion forward, rolling your hips from under you without moving your right knee. You should feel a funny stretch on your hip flexor. Do this for as long as you feel comfortable. As a matter of fact, thats how all yoga stretching is. Don't force anything and if your making funny faces ease up.

I don't think stretching requires a recovery period like weight lifting and I don't know of any supplements that aid in stretching. I know of some other stretches that I will post soon....also try googling some stretching for your hams/ calves.

Thanks Goldmember, Juggers! This is actually suprisingly helpful!! To give you some background, the girl that I'm currently kinda' with has been a dancer for thirteen years (I'm so effin' lucky!) so she's about as flexable as a cooked noodle (I'm sooo effin' lucky!) Anyhow, I'd love to give her a run for her money, or at least be able to make good use of what I'm being, ehem, given.

Keep the advice coming guys, it really is very helpful!

Hydromaxm, actually the best stretches come base upon how well blood flow is, so do like a quick small jog/walk before the commotion, then you really can get to work on the intravenous membrane.

~Nod~ Thanks, Lukass. On that note, do you think that doing something like taking a baby asprin or some ginkgo would improve the stretch? Also, since you're suggesting that it might be a better idea to strech after a full workout, or after spending time in the sauna? Just curious. I'm finding that I'm doiing most of my workout wrong, so your guys advice is really golden.
