As I have said before, in most of my long term relationships I was broke as a joke and each of those relationships were very fruitful. If a girl went for me just because I had money or any other material possession she would not be worth it. In the end it is what is inside of you that keeps things together. I also was not even looking for a girl in most cases, fate brought us together. I also think that being poor makes you become more creative in the relationship, finding happiness in the deeper more meaningful things in life.

Don't get me wrong, money is a great thing to have enough of but in many ways it has become the new "Golden Calf" of worship. I appreciate that I can do what I love doing and get to pay my rent and eat. I am not rich but I am happy with what I do. Someday, who knows, maybe I will become rich but even then I will give most of it away.
