Glucosamine/Chondroitin for ligament repair?

Since Glucoasmine/Chondroitin helps with repair and regeneration of ligaments... should we use it? Would it help after working the ligaments or would it toughen them up and do an opposite effect? I have heard multiple people talk about L-arginine and other supplements like vitamins but nothing on this topic. What do you guys think?
 
Brah im in school for Pre med and it from what i've heard it works mainly on large joints like the articulations in the knees shoulders hips ankles and elbows. These substances will only be used by the suspensory ligaments if you fatigue them to a point where your normal diet cant produce enough of it. Plus these substances will make the ligaments more tough and would even increase the size of the ligaments. This would make length gains from the ligs a lot harder so I would stay clear from it. This is my humble opinion and i have no facts to back up this statment but from my current knowledge it seems that it would hinder you a bit
