Getting Worried-- Going to the doctor

Okay, I am really starting to be concerned for my youngest son. He is a big boy, like I was, but rather heavier than I was at his age-- but not what I would call grossly fat, just really big and stocky. Tonight my wife asked me to have a look at a rash on the inside of his thigh, and I noted that he had a little bit of pubic hair but still no visible penis.

I have read up on concealed penis and it said to wait because it generally fixed itself as the boy grows, but he is hitting puberty and still no weiner. I would like to have him examined soon because this is really starting to bother me.

I myself have been heavy at times so it is genetic but I was never so fat that my penis was suBathmateerged, as his is. He was also circumcised -- at his mother's insistence, not mine, we don't get a say -- so I am thinking that this is YET ANOTHER case of botched circ, which really pisses me off.

I read that the occurence rate of this complication is 0.2%, which I believe is 2 out of 1000, and that it may have to be fixed surgically.

If so that doc is going to get his butt sued. The fact is, I said no and the twat smirked at me and said, "Well, it's not really your decision, is it?"

Wow that is quite strange. I would definitely suggest getting his diet in check first though, also maybe some exercise. Just how old is he? What do you mean by no visible penis? Like you can only see the head of it? I hope things work out for him.

Hi Kong maybe he just has a small flaccid penis or it was hiding away becuase of the cold temperature at the time? If not I suggest you do what philadelph said and get his diet in check, fat can conceal the penis.

Do you know what it is like to try to get a kid to diet? We have tried. However, even the most obese people I have seen naked have something down there. This little boy has like a belly button hole. It really worries me. He does have a penis, I assure you. I changed his diapers quite a bit and it is there. I have read into this some and in the case of circumcision, the pubic fat and the scar ring act together to suBathmateerge the glans and then kind of clamps down over it. Like I said, it's supposed to correct itself, but I think I will have him see a pediatrician pretty soon.

I would take him to the doctor. Does he get annual physicals? Doc's are suppose to check for abnormal conditions in developing children during physicals.

My wife wanted to have our son circ'd just because I am. Fortunately, in my case, I was able to convince her how important it was that he be left alone. The bastards at the hospital must have "reminded" her that he should get circ'd five times before we were able to take him home in one piece. Maybe they were hoping that she would "slip up" and sign away his rights to his penis? Pisses me off every time I think about it.

And swank says they dont TRY to have it done. Haha. Whatever. Make sure if you have boys, fellas, that you write DO NOT CIRCUMCISE on any papers they hand you until he is grown up. Seriously. They have a quota! (well, maybe not a quota but I have heard of boys being circed without permission just cause the doc thought you might want it done)

Have you had a chance to have your son looked at? It sounds like a retactile penis. I used to have to 'pop' my penis out as it would retract all the time. As I've grown older (39 now), I no longer have this problem.

I've actually been thinking about this some lately. I was wondering if this is a result of a sensitive glans that really wants to be covered.

Could you give me some more detail, UA? How old were you and when did it stop being a problem? Were you heavy? My wife wants to wait and doesn't want to traumatize him about it, but it worries me.

Unfortunately, it wasn't until my 20's or 30's that I really noticed that it wasn't a problem anymore.

I don't know that it ever completely disappeared though. For some reason, it would suck in all the time. I would have to put a finger on each side and it would sort of 'pop' back out. It really was a sort of pop-in pop-out type of deal. I had absolutely no hang at all. Even popped out, I probably only had maybe an inch of shaft when flaccid. Look up 'grower' in the dictionary. There's a picture of my penis there :-(.

I was a skinny knock knee kid until about middle school. I then put on some weight which I carried until late in high school when I started playing some soccer. I sang soprano all the way through middle school. I was a late bloomer and never really noticed any penile growth when I went through puberty. At the end, I "grew" to about 5.50 EBP by 4.00 EG.

I've been digging through old memories lately and I seem to remember seeing my dad when I was younger. I have this recollection of basically saying "Gee dad, you sure got a big weiner." My hazy recollection of his reply is "No, not really. Some day you'll see." I've seen. I'm not happy.

What would be the harm in taking him to the doc for a 'physical'? He doesn't have to know he's going to get his unit checked out, and if it were me I would much rather find out about it from the doc than from the kids in gym class. I know you want to do what's best for him, and I know you will make the right choice. Just remember you know more about having a penis than your wife and are therefore more qualified to make decisions regarding the unit.

Oh, I will. I'm just seeing if there is a basis for me being worried. I'm not sure, and I don't want to make it an issue if it isn't an issue. Thing is, I come from a family of... ahem, "bigger size" guys... so this is something I've never seen. The last thing I want to do is make him feel like there's something wrong with him, especially if there isn't, or make him feel embarassed by some dude poking at his genitals unnecessarily. Actually, UA's posts put me at ease a little. He had the same issue as a youth and is a perfectly fine size now and everything works so maybe I shouldn't worry about it. I told my oldest son about Penis Enlargement and FR at 16 and I will do the same with my youngest in a few more years so he will know if he wants to do anything about it.
