doublelongdaddy said:I think this happens to allot of guys because they get a piece done according to what they are into at the time. When getting a tattoo it becomes easy to not think about the future. I remember one time I was going to get a huge tattoo because of some music I was listening to at the time, thank goodness the guy would not tattoo me because I was too drunk.
I have been considering my next tattoo for about 5 years now (since I got my last) I will only decide to get one when I find a timeless piece that expresses me as a whole, not a fad I may be obsessed with.
At least you didn't get something gay (like 2 interlocking male symbols) while you were going through an "experimental phase." I've seen that on guys before and thought "WTF?" lolSwank said:It's nothing special, just my old fraternity letters incorporated into a tribal design. It covers the side and part of the back of my shoulder. By most standards I'd say it's a pretty good tattoo and I had it designed by another guy in the house who was an excellent artist. I can't remember the guy's name who did it, but he was appearently well-known and had pictures on his wall of many celebrities he'd done work for (I had it done in Los Angeles).
I don't like it now because I'm nearly thirty and a working professional. Though I personally see nothing wrong with a having one I wonder about how it refelcts on me. Frankly I just see it as something from my youth that I'm now indifferent to, as DLD said. When I got it, triblas were just becoming popular and it was quite trendy, now I see it as cliche since tattoos have become so common. I also wonder about the suggestion it may give to any children I'll have.
I'd have it taken off, but several dermos have told me my skin scars far too heavily to endure laser treatment with cosmetically pleasing results.

Seriously, it's not too bad. It stings for the first couple minutes because you're nervous about it, but then you just get used to it. I remember when it started I was thinking "Wow, that does kinda burn", but then in a few minutes, I was chatting away with the artist and my buddy in the next chair and making calls to get updates on NFL draft news.
Get one. Although you, as an [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words] chick, rule you would rule even more with a tattoo.![]()
