I heard a doctor on TV that the penis can grow from flaccid to erect up to 5 times....is it real?

Yeah get hard 5 times and that is your study. Easy huh? No, if you go by volume then yeah, unless you have very short flaccid length. If not, then a flaccid 3" penis would be 15". Not likely unless you count Africans that hung rocks all day, but they couldn't get erect to even use it. Food for thought on length goals huh? Hahaha.

If you talk volume then i could see it. I don't know the formula but a flaccid of say 3 inch in length and say 3 inch of girth could grow into a say 6*6. Now your twice as big in length and girth. Maybe one of the math guys can let us know but its a bunch of times bigger than the original.

to reasonable degree we can assume a penis is a cylinder with a half-sphere on the end (for sake of easy calculations). to calculate volume, (for the shaft) multiply (pi) by radius^2 and then by the "height" (shaft length from base to head). then you add one half of [(4/3)x(pi)x(r^3)] for the head and you'll have roughly the volume of your penis. you also could stick your dick in a test tube, and measure that way through water displacement.
