mmh, if I had to choose between going 0.25 or even 0,5 inches above my goal or keeping up a simple maintenance routine I'd definitely choose the latter. I think it's much harder to get that 0.25-0.5 additional inches than to jelq twice a week for 15-20 mins or so and also I imagine it to be very hard to watch those "over the top"-gains go again though there might not have another purpose than that.
