Ok so i have done research on cock rings to see if they are dangerous, not dangerous, how long to wear them, what kind is the best...yada yada...

I just purchased a rubber one last night that surrounds the base of the shaft and another ring connected that surrounds the testes...i felt this was a good starter for the price...i REALLY want a metal one that's weighted i feel it would most def help in my junk hanging better...

OK, so i got the ring,. Now my question is after all the research i have done i have read that some people say do NOT keep it on longer than 20 minutes but people also keep them on all day while at work visiting family or whatever..

What are the most accurate ways of wearing one? How long? How many times a day? And well if u want share the rings you guys have had and how they helped.

rubber was a great choice to start off with. in my experience i've had a problem wearing rubber/silicone type rings because after about a half hour it irritates the skin or i get fluid build up.

i've used a stainless steel ring that goes around the whole unit. i've worn it for hours at a time. the only disadvantage is if you need to get it off in a hurry and your erection wont subside or what not, it will prove difficult getting it off. Ive never run into this problem however i see the potential danger in the situation.

when i did wear a cock ring i would usually jelq right after putting it on and that pump would stay for quite a few hours.

and thats another thing i forgot to mention is that i don't get hard when wearing the cock ring, i have herd it's supposed to make me hard...am i wearing it wrong?

It helps to keep an erection longer and keeps it harder. I'm about 1/4" thicker in a cock ring.
I have only had problems with the rubber rings which I find strange.
I used the metal cock rings with no problem at all. I wore them for hours at a time with no problems

I mean always be attentive if it ever feels numb or cold take it off.
If it cuts off too much circulation it is surely going to cause a problem.
I would start at small intervals and gauge your body's reaction

Yeahh, if you notice that your penis is getting darker or feeling cold and numb then take it off. If you wnat to wear one all day the ndont get one that is really tight.

the only thing is my measurements came out to be...8"/3.14= (2.54")..bigger than they make... and as i look on other websites everyone else only makes them biggest 2"

I only ask cause you guys have experience with them and i don't but what do you think would be a safe size for me?

Cock rings cut off circulation, which is not a good thing in any part of your body, let alone in your member... If you get one, at least get one that is made from material that is not completely inflexible, like rubber, so that it can still expand somewhat and let some blood through. I definitely wouldn't go with metal.

Because it cuts off circulation even more so than rubber due to its inflexibility.
