I like Mantak Chia's book but the instructions like that seem kind of inane to me. All the doing things "nine times" and pushing energy around
I think is just placebo. I say this because this evening I finally managed to have a totally non-ejaculatory orgasm. I think I can repeat it, and better yet I think I can explain how I did it.
Funny thing about "placebo", the very self-same doctors who tell you that things like meditation, visualization, prayer or, say, lucid dreaming have no effect whatsoever on physiologic processes, will, in the same breath warn you of the "oh-so-real" threat of psychosomatic illnesses.
So, according to modern medical "wisdom" one can make oneself
sick by thinking themselves sick...but one cannot therefore recover (from a self induced condition) by thinking oneself
well.
Yet when an "alternative treatment" is dispensed; color, sound, aromatherapy, herbal medicine, massage, etc. and has actual, measurable, tangible effects on the health and well-being of an individual these, docs will consistently dismiss these treatment with the disparaging term "placebo effect".
So: you can think yourself sick-but not well. But if you do get well, in a manner they don't officially recognize, it's just because you believed you would get well.
Somewhat of a schizo- view of things I'd say.
Luckily even western medicine is coming (albeit slowly) to the realization that there really
is nothing physical in a physical body; simply ever changing levels of energy.
