I actually got a red light therapy pad today from amazon.

It's a Lunamyst Red Light Pad

AI told me a red light therapy pad will work better than a electric heat pad, is this true?

I hope this red light pad will be suffice.

Didn't use the lm3 in days, and I got to twist to 180 in 3min, instead of 20 min.

I think the red light pad has helped. I don't know much about red light therapy but it seems to help the ligaments. I dont feel heat though, but AI said its normal to not feel the typical heat you would feel with an normal electric pad.

Yes, and no. Yes, RLT is actually much better than heating pad because of both cellular growth encouragment and heat application. But it also requires you to have a specific energy output from the device. If it's underpowered, it's useless. If you have the specifics on the device, let us know. We'll calculate for you.
 
Ah, this one. It's pretty underpowered. To act as heating device, it has to touch the skin. To actively promoting cellular charging, it has to be touching the skin going past the time limit. It uses a less-than-2A power source, 5V, for 110 LEDS. The system as a whole is underpowered based on the LED model the original company from China made. The specs are found on Alibaba.

First thing, measure the temperature on your skin after 5 minutes of exposure. If your surface skin is around 106F, your subsurface will be around 103F to 104F. Good to have. But at 2A of power spread across 110 LEDs, even touching the surface of the skin, it'll only be around 98F to 100F max. Do prove the calculation specs wrong by measuring and telling us what you got. Let's go from there. Based on the heat, we can reverse-calculate the energy provided in terms of intensity and create an exposure time for the proper dosage, based off a 20-minute recommendation.

I feel no heat with this pad BTW, but I read it's not suppose to operate as surface heat-- but more inner molecular heat, idk.. lol.

Maybe my first time using it might have just been a placebo effect, and maybe my penis was warm from other external factors.

Depending on the heating pad's capacity to adjust to the head that you need. Some of us use motorcycle adjustable heating sleeves for the handlebars. Works pretty awesome. You might look into that if you can't find an adjustable heating pad.

Don't be fooled by cheap LEDs and grandiose commercialization/promises. Of course, check the reviews, and if you already have one, use it to see what you can get out of it. You already spent money on it, so, let's make it work.

First of all, always look into the units that provide you with full LED and power specs. Without any LED type and power specs, you're going in blind. Imagine you go into a dealer and ask, what's the car specs? The sellers provide highlights without the underlying mechanical specs. You end up having a crazy lemon on your hands.

Look at the MoS Red Light Therapy Unit and work backward:

Much pricier than the MoS Red Light unit, both with LED-provided specs to ensure no hidden info. One is plugged in, the other is battery-powered.

Heat generated is the power pushed through the LED to send the energy into the skin layer. Lower power means minimal to no penetration. I have a BioMax 900, and the maximum penetration at 10 inches away still capped out at 4 inches. The amount of energy pushed through that thing is crazy. Imagine the tiny little LEDs used in that China-made product. It barely penetrates 1 mm. The MoS Red and the LumeBox will push past 4cm when you expose the LED close to the skin, roughly 2 inches away.

Interesting. 100F is the 90 sec promotional info. Nothing on the upper temp range. If you have an old sock, a bit of old rice, make a rice sock. 20 to 30 sec nuked at max power in the microwave, and you got yourself a 5 minutes worth of 105F heating source.
 
And put the heated sock directly over my joint--it would need skin contact right ?

Yes. Skin contact is needed. Irradiating heat from the sock is not enough to transfer the heat from the heated rice deep into the skin without the contact. Just make sure to not shove a hot sock onto your skin unless you want a heat blister. The sock should be nice and warm, just nice a good soak in the spa.
