I quit drinking coffee, i was never a serious drinker, but the other day i drank a few to many cups and it sent me into a full blown panic attck, along with depressive thoughts about life. luckly i had the idea to eat some kratom, and it helped relieve the effects of the caffeine.

Are used to drink coffee all day long because I worked out of the Starbucks store. I work out of my house now and I no longer drink coffee but to be honest with you I haven’t felt a difference. Well maybe I do and I just wasn’t paying attention. I’m very happy it’s working for you because having a solid mental state of mind Is vital

i just read that some people have no reaction to coffee at all, and for some it stimulates the flight or fight response, sounds like it maybe whats been happening and why others such as yourself are totally fine.

I have to be honest the only reason I quit drinking coffee because I don’t have a car right now and I can’t drive to get coffee ? if I had a car I’ll be sitting in the Starbucks typing this, With a huge coffee right next to me!

I don't react very strongly to coffee. For me to get reaction, the intake has to be several big cups, I'd said about 1 - 2 litres of coffee. Well, this in regular brewed coffee, not espresso for example. But even with espresso just one doesn't do the trick for me.

Personally I think it could be a somekind of build up / tolerance. Sometimes I do go days without coffee, but usually my intake is about two cups a day.
I don't go to coffee places or restaurants that often. I've tasted in several places and quite often felt displeased of the coffee.
There's one shop I might visit, but it's quite rarely I do so. I really rather brew it myself, trying different brands, roasts and beans from time to time.

Anyhow, sad to hear you had such a strong reaction! I've only got jitters once or twice, panic attacks are no joke.

It's not about a build up, different people have have physical/psychological reactions to caffeine and in different amounts.

I do understand that; but I think there can be a tolerance which builds with time, as with many substances.
I've read and heard that some people get bad headaches if they don't get their coffee.

If someone needs a "substitute", I'd pick up matcha tea. While it does contain caffeine, it also has other elements for alertness.
Other way would be to have maté. Many energizing things do have a certain amount of caffeine, but there are options other than coffee.

I have not had coffee for some time now. I still do not notice a difference ?

Lately I've been feeling different when I drink coffee get a strange numb feeling, my head gets numb too, maybe I should stop drinking coffee...

I’ve cut down to one cup a day from like 10. But now I also drink a Coke every day too.

Coffee was the one drug that increased the production quality and speed, in one factory in the past. I can't recollect all the info. But I believe it was women that made some type of fabric. With coffee breaks they could work all day and keep the work output high. It was a big difference.

I suppose it have stucked with us. Where I live coffee is a must.
