i have found that girls who are respected by their father also respect themselves and demand respect, they are also fiesty and a headache for their husbands.
 
However,

In controversy with crazy-horse... A female who saw her father and mother together as a family unit and was respected by her father, will yield the appropriate amount of respect and give in a wifely manner to her husband. Especially if she saw her father treating her mother very well and vice versa.

One who has not seen a proper male/female relationship, or saw predatory behavior - IE: getting your money, time, attention. They have a high probability of going the same road.

In the end its about one half of what you where raised to do, and one half of what you decided to do. If thats all you saw, sometimes you don't know.
