Workout for a wider chest and torso?

Hey guys.

What type of exercises will give me a wider looking chest and torso? I have quite a slim frame

Keep in mind that I do not use machines. I use a 12kg Kettlebell, some Dumbells and manual workouts.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Funny. That is the exact image that I had in mind when writing this thread.

I don't want it quite as wide as that but I guess those are the muscles that I'd like to expand.
 
All sorts of push-ups will help. Especially, the wider apart you place your hands, the better.

medium to wide flat bench barbell press, bent over barbell rows and wide grip pull ups. Maybe throw in some heavy chest flyes. That' all u need.

Yep, I believe that was it, because he mentioned the asian guy's back, which we can't see in Bruce's picture. Ooops, I mean MISTER Bruce-fucking-Lee rofl
 
Neck presses by Vince Gironda work the chest width like no other. It gives your the wide look that normal chest benches dont.
 
Love Vince Gironda. Wish there were more trainers like him these days. Supinated movement movements helped me out alot on the back width. Weighted wide-grips chins help too.

Bench Press
Push ups
Chest Dip
Dumb Bell Fly
Dumbbell Pull Over
 
Vince Gironda also suggested upright rows in his programs to help widen the V-tapper look. So solid points in Vices work - Keep strict on your form ALWAYS, use weight that you can do the all reps while keeping the rest under 60 seconds (Vince suggested dropping 10 seconds each workout until you were down to 10 seconds). The three big exercises Vince suggested most for wide chest and the V-tapper were the bench to the neck, wide grip upright rows and a wide grip pulley movement at 45 angel (for back). I have used them with his 10, 8, 6 & 15 rep range program and had good results - but it limits the weight I lift and puts more stress on my rotator cuff than I want at this age.

I've tried out the gulliotine press ( neck press ) and the Vince Lat Pullies. Works my lats waaaaaaaay better than some conventional ways. Of course I always go by with any Vince Gironda workout with the 8x8 system. Tried out the lat pullies he used and it brought out my back even more. The way people think is that a wider grip means a bigger lat spread. This is not true. You get a better lat spread by doing close-grips.
 
The neck press is for the chest. I've heard about this close grip and wide grip theory but when you do the neck press it does stretch the very edges of the pec like no other pectoral exercise, so hand placement is objective.
