It will help. But transitioning to whole plant based diet is the key. All the small veins / capillaries start to work properly and cholesterol, and inflammation gets down... You start to get younger.
 
Another thing when you switch to plant base dietary intake is to also minimize any processsed product as well. An example is highly preserved plant materials for longer shelf life, canned foods, pre-cooked foods in packages with preservatives, and the worst one, unknown location where they grown their plants. China is horrible when it comes to chemically induced growth and loaded with pesticides. Organically don't help as they reuse tainted water mixed with "organic growing practices".

Not stopping completely. Transitioning is just that, transitioning. You go cold turkey from meat-emphasis to vegan/vegetarian, you're going to wreck your system. Transition out 5% each month until you can reach 80% vegetarian and 10% meat.
