That is usually the case, men are pretty hard on themselves.
 
You are very lean muscle guy. This helps with the optics. A friend of mine is probably around 9 inches and fat but he is also very tall and infact my dick looks bigger in pictures as I have similar body like you(even thinner I think)

I had woman estimating me at 10 inches infront of a cam and a good angle.
