To any of the Brothers who are from the Western Massachusetts area there will be a showing of my newest art gallery entitled the Spirit of God. I hope to see some of you show up and take a look, this is a rare showing and the pieces will not be for sale. There will, however, be prints available and to any Brother who comes through, let me know and I will give you a hand signed copy free. These are very large pieces and have taken the best of the last 18 months to complete. If you do not know, I am an ordained minister and these pieces are hopeful's for the stained glass going into the chapel in the new Alpha Blade Building representing the Brotherhood!
This is a partial photograph of one of the oil's that will be hanging, this piece is massive and I could only get a small part of the painting. As a Matter of Size, it is about 7 feet by 4 feet unframed. This is a great undertaking for me as I have monochromatic vision and the fact that these are done in the dark to maximize the light that comes through it is miraculous to me on many levels and allow me a sense of freedom in my Love for God and using my disability as a quality of creation. I also do not use Black as a outlines on my work, putting color against color. This style called Fauvism a style of painting with vivid expressionistic and nonnaturalistic use of color that flourished in Paris from 1905 and, although short-lived, had an important influence on subsequent artists, especially Matisse.
I would feel honored to meet any of my Brothers at this incredibly exciting show! It starts of July 2 and will run until the end of July. The gallery will be on display at Starbucks in Northampton, Massachusetts. It is very hard to get any wall space in this town as it is a massive art community. I appreciate your loyal support!
