Since your body makes L-arginine, you don't really need to take a whole lot when supplementing your diet.
There is no recommended daily dosage. There are people that take in 9 grams daily.

Mosty bodybuilders will do 3-4 grams a day, my suggestion is to start lite and see how your body reacts to it. L-Arginine helps with Nitric Oxide in the body and in some people it can cause heart problems due to low blood pressure. Be sure not to take anything like Viagra or Cialis while taking L-Arginine as it will make the low blood pressure more of a problem. This is something I have been studying up on alot lately with my bodybuilding workouts.
Mate, depends on what you want to achieve. If you want arginine to help with the production of GH in the body, then you'll need a higher dosage. If you want it just for NO, then 1000mg twice a day is sufficient. Drink it on an empty stomach, atleast half n hour before meals. I take mine in the morning, and around 3pm. Again, depending on what you are using it for, you can take some just prior to sleeping. It will aid in greater GH production in the body. If this is what you want to use it for, you might want to combine it with orthinine. Same dosage.

hhHydromaxmm, have any sources for this? I've taken L-Arginine and generic viagra on the same day a few hours apart and never had an issue. I assume this pertains to those with low blood pressure?

FDA recommends not more than 9 grams (9000 mg) in a 24 hour period.
And not to mix with Viagra or any other vasodilator.
