I find that keeping my grip while stretching is practically impossible, so i put baby powder in my hands to keep them dry. does anybody else do something similar, or am i doing my grip wrong?
I find no problem with slippage. I have a problem with findiing a spot where I can exert max power while stretching, without squeezing my head to death and getting huge bruises/blisters.

You can also mess with a tiny bit of water mixed in with baby powder. This gave me excellent grip. Golf gloves, dish washing gloves or medical, latex gloves are all incredibly good with grip.

I find that in order for me to get sufficient lig stretch I don't need incredible grip. I used to use gloves and 2 hands at full power. I did damage and didn't gain a thing.
Damage is the word. I had a situation a while back from putting too hard of a tug on. I have since been backing off on intensity because I really did do some nerve damage.
I have been really analyzing my grip and realized that when i grip too close to the head I am putting too much stretch and clamp where the head joins the shaft. This has caused some loss of sensation in my head. I also try to avoid putting too much blood pressure in the head when jelqing.
My new approach is to do stretching from a little lower than the head. I use less tension but consistent tension. My general routine is lighter too. Maybe I will gain slower, who knows.
Another thing to consider is using the Power Assist to help with intensity and not as much grip needed as the stretch is applied through the [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]PA[/words] fulcrum points.
