If you stay in that calorie deficit I would say yes...however when you get back to the "normal" way of eating you should add some sort of aerobic activity to keep the weight off.

p.s Since carbs are the bodys main source of fuel and energy why don't you go on a low fat diet instead? Eating a lot of carbs can be bad when you sedentary and inactive.

Dude, there are so many variables to that equation that it'd be almost impossible to answer you just here in this forum. A lot depends on your particular body chemistry; how well or badly it deals with carbs in the first place, how much weight you want to lose (hopefully just fat!), what kind of carbs you re-introduce into yer diet, your activity level- both before and after, and on, and on.

My advice, for what it's worth, is go to the library, check out a few books on the subject and bone up on some research; set a few short term goals for yourself, see how well they work and adjust from there. And, just like Penis Enlargement: Don't rush it !

Good luck!

thxs guys

its just so difficult because when i drop carbs the weight falls off,i eat pretty well although my downfall is beer,my excercise levels could be better but i dont really sit on my backside allday i would say im quite active... having said that the only thing that stops me losing weight is alcohol so i suppose im answering my own question... maybe its time to hit the wagon (sadly)

Beer is loaded with carbs and sugar. The problem is if you give up the beer, you may crave other kinds of carbs and sugar. It's not easy, but you can choose a low carb/sugar diet and stick to it, but you'll still need to get into an exercise regimen along with it.

What I did (and am doing) is cutting out of my diet whatever I overeat on. For example, I found a low carb tortilla bread which I love. The problem is I pig out on it, so I cut it out of my food plan and replaced it with a low carb bread.

It's a bitch.

Alcohol is horrible for it's calorie content...and how it slows down the metabolism, which is deadly for those with a slow metabolism. If your diet and exercise are superb you might be able to get away with having a few drinks on a Friday night. But if Friday turns into Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, etc. it will be VERY difficult to lose much weight.

I rarely drink alcohol. Because I don't drink much, it's effects are magnified on me. Two weeks ago, I had four beers at the local bowling alley, catching a Steeler game in LA. I didn't make me drunk, but made me fatigued and that meant I missed my cardio for the day. I decided right then and there that I could do without beer with my football games and have watched the past two games with diet coke.

you can curb your appetie for carbs by taking 400mcg of Chromium Picolinate.
unless you have type two diabettes you should add some carbs back in. Healthy carbs, like whole grain, whole wheat, fruits vegetables. You should eat fruits and vegetables on a low carb diet anyway or you will be pooping bricks.
