If you really know what you're doing, you can simply pluck them off with tweezers. I've heard people say that this causes ingrown hairs, but in my experience, I've been free of ingrown hairs since I started plucking.
What I do is as follows:
Step 1: Run cold water (as cold as I can take it) on the shaft of my penis to numb the area.
Step 2: Stretch the skin out so as to reduce pain when you've made your pluck.
Step 3: Pull the hair in the direction that the hair is growing, and then give it a nice quick yank right out of the skin!
Step 4: Once plucked, immediately place a finger firmly on the plucked area, and rub gently yet firmly in a circular motion.
I usually cut my hairs down to about 1/4 of an inch before plucking. This has been ideal in my experience, and I've never experience any bleeding.
Step 1 & 2 are crucial for reducing pain and eliminating the chance of blood showing.
I've also heard that stretching the surface skin of the shaft in opposing directions can also help with sending the hairs back down the shaft, but I honestly like the bumps,
which is why I pluck. I'm thinking the bumps from the hairs might give some added sensation to the Mrs. during sex.
