Thats what i was wondering but went ahead and ordered the hose because the ball is just not working for me.... hopefully the hose will.

The hose is MUCH better than the pump ball. You have to rotate, pre-squeeze, re-squeeze, rotate again, etc. with the pump ball. With the hose, you just suck in until you are where you need to be, then plug it and go. I probably wouldn't use the device if I didn't have the hose, I would have gotten frustrated and written it off.
