as for the op, while i agree that fat is good for you and most people are overdependent on carbs, i think health professionals should stop putting blame on one thing. it seem to go in trends that a particular macro is bad for you, from protein is bad for your kidneys, carbs make you fat, and fat makes you fat with a bad heart. its all bad science and sensationalism. really, no macro is evil, they can all have their place and a balance is key. the single biggest factor in
weight gain/ obesity, is over consumption of one or all of the macros. eating more than what you burn is the drivig force behind
weight gain, not the effect of a single macro in isolation
