Football thread - talk about it

Well as you should know that football players can be good somedays and shit the next and only WORLD CLASS players keep it to the max day in day out and like I said Drogba isnt world class, but a very good player...I aint going to debate on him anymore as its a matter of opinion.

Your right that Egypts keeper was good but I've seen him play where he has been S H I T with a capital 'S' and if you had a really good team test him than he wouldn't manage for long IMHO but today he raised the bar and kept it all together, but they were on home soil.

I still think Ivory coast defense wasnt upto scratch, but the left back was really good and strong. The keeper wasnt much cop either.

Would have to agree with you on the better football in Europe and South America.
 
saw this thread a few times and just assumed it was american football so steered clear.
I'm from aus, but was born in england, so i go for Adelaide United locally but im a huge newcastle united fan. As you can prob guess big Al is IMO the best footballer who has ever lived.
Hope to go back some day and watch a game at st James'. I watched goal the other day and to say the stadium is impressive is an understatement.
Hope we get a good manager.
 
Newcastle is a good team but they seem to have lost moral and went into a really bad spell. Their old manager Souness was infact a GREAT manager but things just didnt work out in the end at Newcastle. Shearer [striker] is such a great player still, and you have a nice youth team.
