same thing; really just depends on the structure of your hand. whichever one lets you trap more blood and manipulate your unit better with the exercises is the way to go! personal preference
Totally, I like the backhand picture an ok sign pulling the dick from my body and with my other hand I pull my balls back to avoid turkey neck and I just keep alternating. But at the end of the sesh I have a lot of fluid build up so I strap a clamp on and I jelq starting just under the circ. scar but I do it over hand, with the ok sign facing down. My hands are meaty so the top part of my dick comes into contact with the meaty and soft part of my hand and this allows me to sort of sculpt of mold my dick into a more even shape.
I think this comes down to preference but I think there is also a benefit to a split in doing both styles. Yes, it is comfortable for me to use upward jelqs as this is what is most comfortable for me but I also will mix in downward jelqs in order to reap any gains that may be available there. In many routines I write I will put in a "just in case" opposing exercise to make certain I gain from all directions.
