Why is it when you are standing looking down on your dick, it looks so much damn smaller. I'm a little over 7"L nbp and 6"G. Looking down on it, it seem small, but if i break out a ruler and just look at 7" on it, it's pretty big. Anyone else go thru this

All those cock angles in adult entertainment are used to make the guy look bigger?
 
It's all relative. If you look at 7" on a 1' wide ruler or tape it's going to LOOK longer than a penis that's 7" long and 2" wide. I'm 6'5" 190lbs. my cousin is 6'5" 260lbs. and people always assume I'm the taller of the two unless we're standing right next to each other. It's all in the perspective and proportions.
 
A bit of foreshortening might be going on here. If an object is angled towards you, it will appear smaller. Also, your girth might make it seem shorter. Finally, it might be all in your head.
 
How does it appear to you when you look in the mirror? Do you have a full length mirror? Check it out. It should give you a more realistic view--that is, as others see it. Of course, some mirrors also distort the image.
