Chest Pain (not heart related)

I've been doing pushups for 3 weeks now. I don't do them every day...I rest every other day. But for some reason ..I havent did any pushups in 3 days and My chest still hurts when I try to do any pushups. I dont even think its a muscle cause when I push aginst the middle of my chest, the bone ...I think its called the sternum....it hurts. Whats wrong?
 
if you dont already, start taking glutamine. It will quicken recovery time and repairs muscle more efficiently. I believe it is necessary for anyone who works out. DOMS is also a possibility. I sometimes get a pain in the chest too, feels like a cramp, so i stretch it out and its fine. Try leaning on a wall with your chest, then extend one arm along the wall and apply pressure on the arm while taking your chest off the wall, hold for 8-10sec and try at different angles, then switch sides.
 
well its is approved by the FDA and it does work. The reccomended dosage for the FDA is 5 grams 6 times daily, so maybe you were not taking enough to see any results. It is used by probably every pro bodybuilder out there, and is an essential supplement if you want to be serious in gaining muscle.
 
it might be your sternum... I had a pretty bad sternum injury last summer from lifting.. Do you feel cracking in your chest when you twist your torso?
