I remember @cladre60 has had hernia surgery and did continue with some PE. Hopefully all goes well with your surgery, best of times recovering to you!
Prior to hernia surgery I'd pull fairly hard on the Bathmate during my sessions. I waited 3 months or so after hernia surgery to attempt any PE and when I did I tried to pull on the BM like I had before. I got a pretty sharp pain from it. I put PE aside for a few more months after that. I have not pulled hard on my BM in any sessions since. I've done some gentle pulls but they amount to almost nothing.
I did start up again about 6 months after surgery doing LengthMaster and Bathmate sessions and kept it up for a few months without issues. Stopped for a bit and then started up again just with the Bathmate. Been pretty consistent with it for the past year but haven't taken any measurements in a long time.
Thanks for this update because it’s been in question over the past couple weeks as far as hernia surgery is concerned. This is excellent information to have for anyone that’s going through a hernia operation.
It's all a matter of getting back to it when it feels right again. I decided to wait it out for quite a while just to be safe.
Thanks for that, Cladre! I don't wanna do it but... I'll play it pretty safe as well. I'm using the SiliStretcher, (much lower tension over longer periods of time), so hopefully I won't face the same problems. My doctor gave me a six week recovery period and said that after that I could even return to heavy lifting, including squats, so hopefully that will suffice for PE as well. I'll take it slow!
I was back at work after 4 weeks because I begged to be given the "all clear" from the doc. I probably should've taken 6 but couldn't afford to be off any longer. I've apparently been fighting a bladder infection as well that started some time after the surgery. Don't know if 1 has anything to do with the other. I really need to make the appt with urology and get it sorted out.
After surgery just go by how you feel and use the recovery period as a reconditioning break. Keep your tylenol handy too. It did more for my pain than the pain killers they gave me.
Also wouldn't recommend jerking it for at least a week. I think I made it to day 6 or 7. Orgasm felt great because it had been a week but there was a little bit of pain as well. I waited a few more days to jerk it again after that and I was fine. Was having sex again by about 2 weeks and had to go slow and watch movements.
You'll be fine as long as you give yourself the right amount of time to recover. My hernia scar is still barely present almost 2yrs later but it's faded a lot. I was glued shut. In contrast a scar on my arm where I was stitched shut 35yrs ago shows more than my hernia scar.
I'm due to take my monthly measurements, but I'm skipping everything but BPSFL because my EQ has been junked recently. This may be because...
...I've recently gone cold turkey on pornography after reading one of Big Al's articles on the matter. Although I was able to achieve and maintain erections without adult entertainment, and although I haven't been looking at adult entertainment all that often for years, I did go through a phase a few years ago where I was pretty good and addicted. I got it under control, but never stopped entirely. After reading an article by Big Al, I wanted to see what would happen if I did just that, at least for a couple months or so.
What seems to be happening is that, EQ wise, I'm heading into some dark woods. Of course, heading into them is necessary to come out the other side. For about a week or so my EQ was basically gone. I couldn't get erect on sensation alone anymore, and when I did get erect it was pretty soft and weak. I'm climbing out of it now, getting erect with sensation alone and the EQ is improving, but it's still not where it was.
Anywho, BPSFL: 8"
That's an 1/8" loss from my BPSFL at the end of August.I've had that happen in my training before even though the general trend is upward. Does that mean I'm doing something wrong??
I was definitely lacking in EQ, but would that affect stretched flaccid length? I didn't even bother taking erect measurements until I get my EQ back up to snuff again, but I figured BPSFL would be unaffected.Maybe the day you’ve measured you were lacking in EQ? That’s usually why men will see a decrease.

Running into multiple issues with the SiliStretcher:
First, the velcro seems to be giving out. I've noticed 'dead spots' on the belt before where I couldn't attach the strap, but I was always able to adjust the belt and just attach to another spot. Today it just wouldn't stick anywhere. (This is at 5lb tension). Weird thing is... when the strap is not attached to me and I just stick it on the belt any old where, it sticks just fine. When it's attached and I'm wrapping it around my waist, however, it doesn't hold. I can't think of what the difference would be there and so I have no idea how to solve this.
Second, the silisleeve is not holding a vacuum. This happened before with my durosleeve, and I figured the sleeve itself was worn out. I switched it out with a SiliSleeve and the problem went away. Yesterday my (thinner) SiliSleeve tore when I removed it from the vacuum bell, and today I switched that out for a new (wider because that's all I have left) SiliSleeve. The new sleeve failed to hold a vacuum, day 1. I can get it to form an initially very strong vacuum, but after just a minute or so of pulling the strap into place and trying to get it to stick to the belt, the vacuum is gone. I've never used this sleeve before, never removed it from its plastic bag, so I doubt it's compromised. Maybe the wide sleeves just don't work for this?
I'm way past out of time to do PE today... might have to go back to manual work after all if I can't figure out what's going on.
@Brawn Johnson , no worries. Can you shoot a video of the issue with the velcro and PM it to me? Also, Send me a picture of the SiliStretcher and sleeve you are having issue with. You can attach them right in the message.
I have never heard of this happening with anyone with the velcro.
Do you know if you have the SiliSleev1 (Blue) or the SiliSleev2?
I know you do and I appreciate that. Didn't mean to crap on the product or anything, just using my journal to vent frustration with a bump in my road.@Lightning and I stand behind all products 100%. If something has gone wrong with the device simply send a message to us at sales@mattersofsize.com

Hey Lightning,
I'll try the SiliStretcher again on Monday and get some video for you if it happens again.
Re: the velcro, I've had the problem before and then it just disappears the next day. Yesterday was just the worst I've ever struggled with it. I'm not surprised to hear this is an oddity, It sure confuses the hell out of me! I mean, it's velcro. Velcro not sticking is like a wheel not turning. There's nothing visibly wrong with it, it's not dirty, it sticks when nothing's attached to me... I'm scratching tunnels through my head trying to figure out what on earth could be happening there.
Re: the vacuum and sleeve, it's a blue silisleeve and it's pretty wide. I suspect I just need to use the thin sleeves, but my last thin sleeve tore. I'm pretty confident switching to a thinner sleeve will fix this.
Thanks for the support, as always!
Hey Lightning,Cool. Are you using the right side of the belt? If you put the belt on reverse, it will not attach to the strap (I've done this myself before).
With velcro, one side is loop and one side is hook. The strap with the clip is hook velcro. The belt is one side hook and other side neutral. If you are occasionally trying to attach hook velcro strap to the void side belt, it won't attach. Over the course of the past year, we have yet had anyone report that the velcro belt and strap stopped working.
The vacuum problem is the blue SiliSleev. We got rid of those blue SiliSleevs for the SiliStretcher2. We now have a SiliSleev2, SiliSleev5 and DuroSleevs which seem to be working for everyone now. We can get you a complimentary SiliSleev5 to use, just email sales@mattersofsize.com your name and request. The SiliSleev5 comes in 3/4" and 1" diameters and is harder than the Blue SiliSleev1, white SiliSleev2 but softer than the DuroSleev.
