Bear killed that may have killed someone

beardinner.jpg

Well here i go opening an old thread but though I would add this pic of the bears meal. This is part of the guy they found in that bears stomach from alaska. Guy had a nice Flacid size though LOL

That bear to me looked like the extinct huge ones that roamed in the Ice age and oddly enough they were all around the USA!

Doesnt look like a typical bear, did it turn out to be some rare breed?

Nope, it actually wasn't even a record breaker! At least it wasn't if we're both talkin' about the same bear; the one that was all over the internet ...ooohh....'bout a year or two ago or so.
Kodiak bears get right regulation humungous-all that fresh air and clean livin', I bet.
As far as the chomped up guy above; he's actually a tiger attack victim from somewhere in India, not Alaska; notice the palm fronds in the foreground. Palms don't really frow much in the Arctic.

Check out Snopes.com for the giant bear story...it's still a damn good one!

OMG those are HUGE and intimidating for sure! respect for anyone who goes near the large ones like that. I want to oneday visit Canada and see the bears live. The bear I was talking about, the monster bear was the one at the start of this thread and SURELY they dont get bigger?? I cant get the image out of my mind, these are scary creatures but lovely aswell haha cos they are so with the wild. I've seen polar bears in person and they are awesome, very clever animals but not cuddly haha

Yep, we're talkin' about the same bear...the one in the thread you linked to above is off the record mark by- according to the sites I investigated- about two feet in total length and 400-600 lbs in weight.
And that's for a Brown Bear, Polar Bears can get 20-30% bigger. Truly monsters.

The full impact of their size only hit me one day when I realized that a truly huge bear, at 12, 13 feet or more in standing height, could look over the back of most african elephants! Now that's damn big.

Once a human being gets away from our man-made, artificial, polluted (and just generally crappy) world and hits the real-live God-given world the entire spectrum of the food chain changes drastically...don'tcha think?
