I see in the last few days a few members were banned.
I had a look at there last posts and I dont see any reason why?
Who presses the banned button, is it a mod show of hands?
It would be nice to know why sometimes a member disapears.?

My thoughts exactly. My respect to Pandora trying to do his job - keep things in line - though. Just a strong, respectful, disagreement with how the job was done in what I feel was a too drastic manner.

I wasn't going to post at all in public or PM, just take the ban - learn from it - forget about it and move on; but I figured I'd hop on the respectful commentary train as long as this thread existed.

The idea that most of my posts, and or jqsderrida's IMO, are negative is an insult and in fact far from true considering my sticking up for people and encouraging them to not take drastically negative measures and instead look on the bright side. Two examples of my consistant tone throughout the forum: http://www.mattersofsize.com/forumnew/penis-enlargement-forum/29249-well-fucking-sucks.html and http://www.mattersofsize.com/forumn...isnt-successful-penis-surgery.html#post257107 . I may be blunt and graphic in my words on occasion, in favor of free and fulfilled expression, and I may be a realist that is sometimes confused as a cynic, but I still prefer to be and tend to be optimistic, idealistic and positive for myself and towards/for others otherwise I would have been dead long ago.

In goin's thread, I felt that my post in that thread was actually very polite to goin' - about as polite as constructive criticism can get - saying that he seemed like a cool guy but, in agreement with MANY others who were trying to bring resolution for about 19 months - he should get better measurements and pics for his own good.

Also interesting to note, it seemed like goin' was being shown evidence of him speaking horrible about other people in the Penis Enlargement community so in that case there is a lot of irony in getting banned for respectfully criticising him for some things wth the intent to be constructive while complimenting him for other things.

The only other time that there would even be a slight question that I was negative was in my personality and communication conflict (misunderstanding) with 8InchMike, which was accentuated (read: blown out of proportion, drastically) by 8InchMike bringing that past dispute into goin's thread (read: following me into other threads just to continue the same misunderstanding and make character defaming and erroneous posts about me - some form of e-stalking and e-harrassing. A misunderstanding which he labels impossible to sort out by communication so a waste of his time - which I think is one of the problems in the world [lack of talking things out], though I didn't say one word in reply to him out of respect for his wishes - while he continues to instigate while closing his posts with the assertion that he wants no part in it and dragging the same comments into different threads) - to which I replied once in what may have not been the most civil manner (read: pussified acquiescing and spineless shit-taking manner) ... but to which was certainly fair to say considering the context that nobody wants to be treated like that - yet he probably wasn't banned. I'll be trying to ignore 8InchMike unless he wants to "make up" and discontinue from our current trend.

My best to everyone, sincerely - even Pandora despite banning us, Goin' despite being part of the reason and 8InchMike despite our misunderstandings.

The issue is that both myself and PenilePersist were unaware of the fact that we were perpetrating ill here at [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MoS[/words]. A single PM or forum post was all that would have been required to stop it. I would have apologized and relented.
However, on the issue of personal insults, goinfor11x7 was the only member here to actually issue an insult. The remainder, if you care to read it yourself, was healthy, referenced debate.

Exactly. I had no idea what we were doing could possibly be ban worthy as it didn't seem like a discussion out of ordinary. I even thought it was an April Fools joke when I got the ban notice: "Reason: None". There was NO warning whatsoever. No PM to say "hey, please stop that because if you don't I feel that I should ban you", to which I would have complied. Actually, I had already decided I would not be posting on the subject anymore anyways and the thread had continued on for about 2 pages without me. But, I just ended up being baffled that I was banned and displeased that all of my thread subscriptions would be lost because of it. It seems like the merit of people's points was judged only on how well they were known for being around for a long time and posting a lot, rather than actual content.

That seems quite true. For me I made ONE comment about goin', which was constructive criticism with typed out thoughts for the best for him and other members followed by a compliment about what I know of his personality (I said he seemed cool) and a compliment of his size ( I said he was quite large) ... in a thread with pages well into the teens with similar comments that seemed to focus more on the criticism than the compliments and seemed less polite than mine.

For me, the only "questionable" that followed was defending myself in response to the heavily biased total mischaracterization of my post and my personal motives for being on the forum - that "came out of nowhere" from a person who admitted bias to goin' and from a person who was carrying bias from a previous misunderstanding with me - when somebody who claimed to want to end an old misunderstanding from a completely different thread continued that by directing the same old insults, defaming and mischaracterization (hypocrisy) into goin's thread in attempt to undermine me by associating my post with a totally unrelated personal misunderstanding he had with with me as if I conspire to undermine everyone [what a joke, evidence cleary shows to the contrary] while telling us that we should all chill [which was funny to me because I told him that in our previous misunderstanding, so it was like a sort of aggrandizing hyperbole and hypocritical in the big scope] and how we can all be "dicks" and how he knew he could be a "dick" ... while he seemed to be being a "dick" ... for which I called him what the dictionary defines: hypocrit (obvious reasons) and sadist (for persisting to be a SELF PROCLAIMED "dick" while saying he knew he was a "dick") , while asking him to stop bringing the old misunderstanding into other threads because it's like stalking and harassing and totally uncalled for.

So, constructive criticism coupled with two great compliments for goin', followed by "hypocrit" towards another member for reasons the dictionary defines and "sadist" for my opinion that somebody was just WHAT THEY CALLED THEMSELVES - a "dick" (so all I did was essentially agree with them) ... was justification for a BAN with NO WARNING ... and I disagree with that judgement.

However, on the issue of personal insults, goinfor11x7 was the only member here to actually issue an insult. The remainder, if you care to read it yourself, was healthy, referenced debate.

Aside from the totally off-topic issue with me and another member, that would seem to be correct without question. There may have been some "questionable" stuff in the entire thread, but far from a no warning ban justification in my opinion.

I don't think people take this site as seriously as they should. The free forums have been a Godsend to every poor guy with a urge to enlarge his penis outthere. I know I can not given my curent financial situation afford the members erea. but I tell you this If I won the lotto tomarow a big check would be heading DLD's way from me. I came here with a below average penis and now I'm on the high side of average and soon to be above average and I can not tell you how happy that has made me. It may not be a as big as some. but I'm very pleased. I think I speak for everyone here when I say if it came down to some clown getting this forum shut down because of his posts, A little street justice would be in order!!!!

There have been problems with and discussions about this before. Basically I support by the right to criticize pictures and measurements that seem fishy. Often it's just a matter of opinion over what even constitutes a bad picture in the first place, so it seems difficult to justify punishing posters for voicing an opinion.

While DLD is correct in stating that the place needs to have an element of civility and such, I believe that's mostly self-perpetuating as the kids and trolls get weeded out. For pictures and things that seem to be the root cause of the inflamitory incidents, however, there should be freedom to question dubious posts. This is the internet and as we've seen on this site there are plenty of frauds and weirdos that post either faked or stolen pics. This stuff deligitimizes Penis Enlargement and makes it seem like a joke, as well as at times giving naive or new guys unrealistic expectations. The total acceptance of crappy pictures and poorly supported claims are more harmful to the quality of the forum as a doubtful attitude towards some posting, in my opinion.

A lot of guys have advocated a 'zero tolerance' criticism policy in the past. I think that's really the wrong way to go. While the forum should be free of personal attacks and excessive bitching, it's not a self-help site where anything and everything is completely above question. There needs to be a level of BS detection, and in this case I don't think it should have come down to the fact that any moderators happened to disagree with what was being said as it was being done in an appropriate manner.

The fact is, clear and well measured ruler pics tracking gains are exceedingly rare and they should be encouraged. Not calling guys out when the post crappy documentation of gains tacitly encourages lower standards. I understand that it is difficult and intimidating to post pictures of your penis, so don't do it if you ahve reservations. But, the fact is, plenty of guys that do post pictures distort them or measure badly jsut to collect positive feedback, not to demonstrate their advancements in Penis Enlargement, use the pictures as reference, explain an exercise, etc. I would probably work harder at Penis Enlargement if I could see more well documented visual evidence of gains, but instead the usual grainy, out of proportion/focus pics with the ruler partially obscured remain the norm. So many guys claim extremely impressive gains of multiple inches but we rarely see the evidence - I think continuing to encourage a higher standard of quality for photos is one way to help correct this.

It's funny that guys on this website have proved to be regular McGuyvers when it comes to Penis Enlargement by rigging up all sorts of devices and creating elaborate theories and exercises, but the simple act of taking clear photos remains incredibly elusive. It should be acceptable to question photos and claims, but within reason. Without that ability this places risks devolving into that lpsg website. On the other hand, with too harsh of an environment for posting it risks moving towards something even worse - Thunder's.
