I just started taking b5 for acne and it is working great. I have a few concerns though. First off it is drying me out everywhere. I can take the chapped lips, dry eyes etc. but what I can't take is how it dries out my glans. I'm a restorer and when I usually take off my CAT II RO I am very moist. I miss this cause now I am dry. When I stop taking it will my mucous membranes go back to normal? What if I go on the maitenance program? Will I be able to go back to normal? I hear stories on how b5 and accutane are similar and how people report having chapped lips for the rest of their lives after taking accutane. I am taking 10 grams a day, split into three doses and I will do that for three months. After that the maintenance is 1/2 gram a day. When I go down to the maintenance dose will my acne come back? What if I stop taking it all together after the three months, will the acne return then? I want the best of both worlds, moist glans and no acne. I wonder if any uncut people here have used b5?
