run A LOT. look on youtube for 8 minute abs, i did it while i played soccer everyday and noticed a hugeeee difference after 2 months. didnt get the six but more like 4 and a half, then i lost motivation. check it out and let us know.
Eat less than your maintenance calories. Lift HARD (to maintain muscle mass while losing weight). Do a little cardio and a little ab work if you want, but they aren't as important.
Yes, cardio is important. All those multiple multiple reps and sets of situps is pointless too in getting a six pack. Train the abs like anyother bodypart and you wouldnt train them like the 'conventional' thinking behind ab training with all them situps. The workout I found to WORK alongwith a good diet and cardio was that by the late but GREAT Vince Gironda. The proggramme can be purchased for a small fee and is a booklet and printed from his notes. A 6 week ab course. His methods are very unlike the shit used today as he targets the whole region and uses the old tried and tested vacuum too which is seperate to the 6 pack route your wanting but gives the stomach that better look. I'll jot down the link where the manuel can be purchased in a moment. Let me also tell you that weighted work on the abs is very useful too. The key is diet and not doing too much work and overloading the area.
my brother and his buddy spent about a month in our home gym doing nothing but abs. at the end of one-month, he's got solid 6-pack abs, but he's also very lean due to playing a lot of basketball. the key to having a 6-pack is all about control your body fat percentage. you gotta find ways to reduce your body fat enough so that the abdominal muscles can be seen.
get p90x. that stuff really works. you can get it off bittorrent.
Thats all back in the 1950's aswell and he was a master of the vacuum exercise. Notice he does not have that bloated bulky ab buildup like some BBs even though they have a 6 pack.
Dont exercise your obliques either as you will thicken around the waist and loose that 'V' shape. Only use basic movements to tighten the obliques to keep them firm.
Listen carefully. Doing tons of Ab work is useless and can counterproductive (It were in my case).
It can lead to an symptom where your belly is expanded like a fat man but instead with muscle.
Diet + Moderate excercises based on the Scoobs workouts = Success
bro u gotta check out p90x Abb Ripper X. 15 minutes and you wont be able to move for 2 days. But like everyone said cardio. The olyptical machine is amazing for fat loss
I've found weighted 1/4 sit-ups either with plates behind my head or on the chest work great. If one has access to a cable machine than use that with more weight. Hold in the contracted position and really feel the burn. Abs dont need anymore work on them than anyother bodypart and doing them everyday for 100's of reps like some idiots do is just pathetic.
Well yeah, diet is obvious as with a good one alongwith cardio that fat is removed from your abs which shows them off but you still need a decent routine to stimulate the region.
Some good e-books hosted on my site which will help
Dont say I dont give you guys anything! also for more great fat loss, carb and diet stuff look into Tom Venuto, Chris Aceto and Craig Ballantyne because they are great guru's on the subject imo from everything I have read & tried plus Vince Gironda had good tips aswell.
