I am married but estranged for more than 15 years. Today I am totally celibate. This is a religious choice more than anything but I can tell you that there is much virtue in a life of celibacy. Yes, it is lonely, but the graces I receive make it worth it. I really don't think I could take care of all the men here and have a relationship too, that would be very difficult. Well said DLD. I've never been married and believe it or not, have never engaged in the "procreational act" (came extremely close a few times). For many years, I would look at my friends,co-workers, former teammates/classmates and be jealous/envious that they had girlfriends, wives, families, etc. I was thinking was there something wrong with me that I've only been on a few dates and that I'm not married and have kids?

Marriage is great IF (and that's a big If) you're both happy. If you're not both happy it is miserable. If you both do truly love each other and want to be with one another do what it takes to make you spouse happy because even at the time if you don't want to do whatever it is to make them happy in the long run it will be for the best.
