hello everyone

i don't post much cause i can usually find what i'm looking for by searching but i have a question.

what kinda peanuts do u guys eat? is it better to get a can of peanuts only or is mixed nuts better? should i stay away from the salted kind?

thanks guys

OK stay away from salted (salt is bad for you), i would go with mixed nut because then you the the benefits you get with peanuts as well as the other nuts.

Its annoying for me as i love peanuts but I'm also slightly allergic with only a handful giving me stomach cramps and such. lately Ive been either having Brazil nuts or sunflowers sea as between meal snacks.

My personal trainer read an article in one of his sports medicine journals that suggested that peanuts, combined with simple carbs (like Gatorade from mix), flax oil, fish oil, B complex, vitamin C, and vitamin E is best for recovery. That's what I've been doing (along with branch chain aminos and L-glutamine) for several months, and it's worked well for me.

As for the peanuts, I have about a handful. I do eat the salted varity, but honey roasted would probably work well, too, since honey is a simple carbohydrate.

I always keep nuts ( and seeds) to snack on. But I mostly avoid peanuts. I dont think there is too much wrong with them per se, but I dont want to go overboard and would rather snack on almonds. I snack on almonds, pistachios, and sunflower and pumkin seeds.

Keep in mind that you need mono-saturated fats, like those in peanuts, as part of a healthy diet. It's the poly-saturated fats that are the bad ones.

I would advise you to buy peanuts that are still in their shell that way you know they have nothing on them and they also stay fresh, but also eat other
kinds of nuts that have more nutrients like Almonds, cashews, pistachios, and pecans.
