I know hydrocortisone is good for irritation, inflammation, etc of skin....but it also decreases collagen synthesis. Is using it regularly on one's penis a good idea?

Conclusions: Continuous hydrocortisone for 3 weeks markedly decreases collagen propeptides and corresponding mRNA in human skin. Intermittent hydrocortisone has a less marked effect on the collagen synthesis rate.
 
But wouldn't it be contraindicated if it inhibits collagen production which is supposedly what is necessary for growth?

This is prescribed strength. We use 1% strength....big difference
 

Seems prescription hydrocortisone can be 1% (10mgs/gram) or 2.5% (25mgs/gram). Obviously, OTC can be 1% as well. Odd that the NIH link didn't specify dosing strength.

It's written on the tube max 14 days then you need to go to the doctor.

I trust @DLD in this, it's working for me. Without hydrocortisone 1%, I wouldn't be able to keep up the intensity of my stretching sessions.

When I used my hands for stretching and then later the broomstick (link to picture) as a power assist device, I would not have been able to keep up the intesity.
The skin would never have been able to keep up with the healing. I still use it to this day after my LENGTHMASTER 3 sessions.
 
No offense was intended. I was just verifying that 1% OTC is what is recommended here since the scientific research paper cited didn't seem to line up.

This was in the past. Now I'm using the LENGTHMASTER 3. I will put up videos of the stretches later on this program. In the last and most powerful program with the broomstick I did bundled stretches over the broomstick.
 
It is rare to have blisters if you follow instructions on how to use the devices. I've had a blister on my glans before back in 2019 when I was focusing heavily on length work.

How long did it take for the fluid filled blister to go away or did you pop it?
I didn’t use silli cap during ADS SiliStretcher and a blister formed and I panicked
 
Just trying to read through various topics. I'll chime in about hydrocortisone usage, regardless of strength. Just one warning, DON'T USE IT past 2 weeks in your routine. In a given year, don't use it more than 4 times.

Irritation is quite common. When you're overpushing your body, irritation and inflammation is your body way to fight back and warn you. Do remember that you are a multicellular organism that works in a synergistic chaotic organization to survive. Don't rely on external chemical factors to suppress or accelerate beyond the means of adaptation.

However, I do suggest the use of Vitamin E in its liquid form during rest period. I use it after shaving and to apply to my manhood during rest phases in its sleeve. Ladies are using similar concentrated products (from Korea and Japan) to maximize cellular regenerative capacity during rest phases. If you need more info on this, I'll gladly share in the Dietary section of this forum. I'm gathering all my decades of notes simply for maintaining and further enhancing the body. I'll gladly share my knowledge with the brothers here.

A word from the experienced, rather than pushing harder than your body recovery process, such as the skin irritation due to over pumping and stretching, ease back and find a more natural way to adapt without depending on external chemicals that will reduce your chances of gain. Do take it with a grain of salt since I do take supplements in higher than daily recommended to induce the body's responses to promote healing in my older age. I'm not a spring chicken anymore, but I'm not dead yet.

I have used hydrocortisone 1% daily for over a year now. No problems at all. I pushed extremely hard and without MOS RED and hydrocortisone 1%, I would not have the penis I have today.

I have used it for over 20 years without only awesome experiences.
 
Zinc toxicity may not show up in a year or a few years. It's bioaccumulative. There's a reason why a warning is placed for long term usages. Just like sweeteners, they are great on the surface, but what we don't realize is what other adverse functions it causes. In biochemistry, we know for a fact that low level of zinc helps with restorative functions. However, high concentration of zinc, combined with iron, unwanted hormonal fluctuations, and chemical exposures from other sources throughout our lives in the areas we travel to and fro, zinc, in combinations of unseen factors, play a insidious role of mRNA destruction for the concentrated areas. Kidneys, liver, glands, and even brain tissues.

Of course, no one has to listen, but do put that in the back of your mind for the time being and do a bit of published medical and biochemistry journal reading. Great sources to put you to sleep andale you go banana too.
