You cannot readily convert liters to pounds or kilograms being that a liter measurement is a measurement of volume. If you do want to convert liters to pounds you must determine the density of the liquid you are curious about. Solve the equation d=mv for m (where d is density, m is mass in milligrams and v is volume in liters). Convert m from milligrams to grams by dividing through by a thousand, then, convert grams to pounds using the conversion factor of 453.59237 grams = 1 pound.

^^^ exactly what he said.
a litre of WATER weighs 1kg (at 4 degrees C), which is equal to 2.2 pounds
