While jelqing, just right under my glands in about a 1 inch area, my penis feels softer and less tough than the rest of the shaft. Is this normal? I dont feel any pain or anything, but is this mabey a sign of growth or what?

The skin just below the glans is much softer, and sensitive than the rest of the shaft so this is completely normal.

Are you sure it's not the donut effect? Very often, especially with beginners a good girth session can cause a sort of 'donut' ring under the head. In any case, this is completely normal and harmless.

No its not the donut. I was speaking more of the tissue under the skin rather than the skin itself. When I jelqe the whole shaft is a constant toughness just up until I get about 1 inch from the glands. Then that last inch up to the head, it gets spongier. Yeah, I cant spell...haha
