Its always a combination of ligs AND tunica regardless of which direction you stretch...menaing you cant totally isolate one at the focus of another.
I tired this last night....
I was seated and doing some "tunia" stretching and I noticed the tug at the ligs on top of the base. I used my left hand and grapped the base so that my thumb was pressing DOWN on the ligs.
The tug disappeared and I was actually able to tug harder to get a good fatigue in/on the tunica which I was previously unable to do due to the lig burn.
