The Vow: Abstinence & Celibacy

Help me & others fully understand the two topics.

I saw RED bring up being celibate in another thread & I'm very intrigued by the subject. Now by any means do I think sex or masterbating is wrong or bad.

But ever since I started both, I felt like both had control over me not the other way around. I just want to hear advice from other who have more knowledge on the subjects.

I'm sure I will have more questions but the first one that comes to mind, Does a Vow to both mean zero masterbation as well? What are the effects of abstianing (positive & negative) of holding off any form of stimulation.

I masturbate, just not have sex atm. My case is nothing to do with religious grounds but something I have chosen for my own personal development. I've found a strengthening of character since taking the vow this entire year and not to mention saved loads of money in the process of not having to go out buy drinks, taxis and fees to clubs etc.
 
I posted a similar thread in the forum somewhere on pretty much this exact topic. What piques your curiosity about starting taking this kind of vow?
 
I just fell like masterbation is mind controlling for some(me included). people say wank it! no ill effects but I went through cycle where my EQ was AWFUL cause my addiction. I would watch adult entertainment, good adult entertainment and I couldnt achieve erections. And all the rauchy shit I was watching made fucking impossible unless i took some ED pills. My girl is semi boring in bed and wants to lay there and take the meat LOL. It wasnt enough to get me going. Now there are plenty who it has no control over them and Im not aiming my POV of it on them.

This is mainly for those like myself who it has a domino effect on. Im a 22 year old bodybuilder, great diet & health, stress free guy and I was having erectile issues. There is only one reason why this would happen. Just my 2 cents :cool:
