Do you live with your mom? The reason I ask is because it really is courageous of you to go ahead and tell her.

I think you made the right decision. Too much of a hassle trying to keep it secret if you live with family. If you were renting a room with strangers for example you can just go in the bathroom and do your pumping and whatever. But with family it's just too difficult to keep it a secret.
