The thing is that church uses this story in all parts of world to spread christianity. They will go to a remote part of the world, find out a tribe in a jungle, claim that they are lost tribes and convert them to christianity. Here is another link which claims that some tribe from india is the lost tribe.

Its very pleasing and a positive comment on the brotherhood of [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words], that we can have threads such as this without it descending into disrespectful name calling or accusations - religion is viewed as such a negative or source of problems, rather than as a way to attain guidance, peace and understanding - regardless of race. The amount of Islamaphobia, Anti Sematism , Anti Catholic etc feelings/news pieces I have seen over the last few years really makes me worry about the future. I am not saying that religion is the answer for all, indeed a lack of faith can also provide peace - but its the wholesome anti religious trip that we seem to be on in the West coupled with a fundamental degradation in people's behaviour to each other, which is scary.
