Question About Scar Tissue

Hi everyone,

I had a question for those of you who know about scar tissue and the potential for injury. I was wondering, how exactly does one know that scar tissue is being formed or has formed? Like if I am hanging and I end up with scar tissue, will I have felt it being formed when it is happening or only after the fact?

As confusing as this question is to me- I think the scar would last (possibly forever) if after the first 2 weeks after the session it does not dissappear. I am unsure on this though, and I think there is no way to classify ALL scar tissues as "the same". I think Youknowme's answer would be the BEST here- as a massage therapist :).

Some scar tissue can be broken down through stretching. The problem with scar tissue is that it is much more dense than normal skin and tissue so causing a breakdown would take some serious efforts. Bundled stretching would probably be the best best to cause a breakdown due to the intensity of the stretch. If the scar tissue is visible you can determine that it is truly scar tissue due to the way it reflects light, it is more shiny than normal skin and usually is pink in color. Men who have Peyronies disease have to deal with breaking down the scar tissue in order to straighten their penis so it is entirely possible because we have seen many men correct a bend.
