I did cold turkey. But your gut floora is going to change drastically from TMAO producing "bad" bacteria to better bacteria that actually is good for serotonin levels, so your mood will shift for better. Your gut will start working properly, so you will have good stool, and higher fiber content makes you
more. If you have consumed lots of meat during years, this change can have diarrhea effect, but it will pass as gut flora has changed.
Why I did cold turkey... Because of hemi-iron and animal fat content, and especially meat is addictive. Our tongue gives signal to our brain about this, that all way too tasty is also high in calories and need to be este, so our evolutionary programmed bodies want to take all in, but our sedentery life style in modern culture has created toxic environment for this tendency.
So usually this happens: If I would try to lower consumption of animal products, I would crave them more, as they are "drug".
Better try what suits Best for you... But this is a little secret weapon of mine...
Oatmeal 100g + Red Lentils 100g = 41g of protein per serving.
Your gut is in mint condition, and you get most of protein in breakfast. Add berries, spinach, seasalt, Curcumin and black pepper. Use Olive oil, as it helps with fatburning.
