Basically I use the ESL40 (which is like $20), to keep the rings from sliding off. I have 12 metal rings in total (golf weights would work too), 8 x 35mm diameter rings, and 4 x 40mm diameter rings. I taped them together so they wouldn't make noise. I tapep the 40mm rings together with 4 of the 35mm ones to make one section, the 40mm part hangs over the esl40, (so I have more room to put rings on later), and the 35mm part keeps the 40s from falling off. Then I have another section with 4 more rings as well. All up it's 390 gms, and comfortable. You could also use a cable clamp too, to keep the rings on, but I don't think it would as comfy as this way, or as reliable.
Also just a note, this is way more concealable than having weights that hangs below your dick. You have to wear semi rigid clothing that doesn't conform well to shapes (like jeans or shorts, not track pants or soft materials), If you use the leg strap however I find it easy to wear with track pants, but you have to wear long pants, as the strap goes below the knee.
