Measuring question

Since my erection points up, I was thinking about how we measure along the top. If your erection points down, wouldn't it measure longer? I would think that to equate usable length of a penis that points up to a penis that points down is to measure the downward pointing penis along the bottom.

If I measure my flaccid penis along the top when it's pointing down, it's quite a bit longer than if I measure it pointing straight out.

I measure my erection at parallel to the floor (straight out) even though I have a high erection angle. If you measure your erection at it's natural high angle you will lose a couple of inches that are present during intercourse.
