Most [words=https://shop.mattersofsize.com/products/sizegenetics-penis-extender]extenders[/words] on the market use identical parts. The only variation is usually the materials and quality.

I do agree with you they mostly use identical parts and can fit into each other easily.
However, I am confused as to how I should measure the spring's circumference.

I would think a ruler would suffice. Lay a spring on the mm side, as I'm sure they will be measured metric and er on the side of caution. In other words go slightly smaller than you think and that should work. I don't understand what you thought was contradictory. More than likely, the springs work device to device. It's a pretty non unique industry.
