Do you think money,staus, material possessions are very important?

I'm a non-materialist capitalist, if that makes any sense to you. I abhor showing off and trying to impress people. For example I drive a pretty old plain, but mechanically reliable car. I have some money in the bank, but as far as I'm concerned its not for spending. Plus I have a possible bankruptcy issue due to bad business moves. Basically at this point in my life I have very little status or income. I am taking a long time to get through college and want to go to law school, 5 years away from having a real job.
I could probably expand more on this and my value system but I'm tired of typing.
It seems like guys are either impressing females with their stuff or the extreme opposite, like guys who dont work or have a car and have their girls support them. While i'm more like what Living Colour would call a "Middle Man."
Is there any hope for me? I mean I feel sometimes like I should just lock myself in my apartment for 5 years and not even bother trying to date or anything because I know I have to stay the course as far as my life goes and that theres not even any point in dating.

Hey man,

I am against the whole materialistic deal.
I mean a nice house is the only thing that matters to me and it's what I aspire to.

Getting to a position where you don't have to worry about money is the best position imo. Even if you do get rich or something, you shouldn't let the whole materialistic thing run your life rather let the money allow you to live free instead of working 24/7 and worrying.

I think if you find a chick that thinks like that, you should keep her you know....

Because all that thing about wearing a different brand name and what kind of "metal" you wear is really pointless.

Anyways, I've thought about this probably more than I should have, and basically, I think money/power, etc., is important for the hot dumb bitches who since high school have been planning to marry for money. But you can find a nice, cute girl who's not a bitch without being a movie star

Short Answer: Money, Looks, Status, And Goodies are Critical if you have no game. If you have game then you will be fine and already convey a high status.

Here's the deal. If you feel like you NEED money and the shit it brings you like cars, toys etc. to get hot women then that is your limiting belief and it will effect your game.

If you don't care about that shit and conduct yourself properly, you will be fine. And I don't know what your stressing about man. Tons of people in college have little to no money, and most of the people I know in my school with the fancy cars and shit are just rich kids. Nothing wrong with that but its not like they worked for the money. They were just born into a wealthy family. Doesn't impress me. I treat everyone alike. Now I do have friends who were raised middle class like me and started their own businesses and are making tons of cash and I'm impressed by the dedication they showed not the money. As David Deangelo says "make it [in this case money] not matter." This applies to all issues because everyone has some issue--whether its height, looks, dick size

Plus dude you are analyzing way too much. Thinking about where you would fit in the spectrum of rich guys versus guys that have their women support them will not lead you closer to meeting cool women. Just go out and approach and interact with women. Check out www.fastseduction.com They have some good things for rookies and guys learning. I like Mystery's archive and Tyler Durden's archive.

I'm not sure if I read the end of your post right but did you just say you think you should be celibate for 5 years....NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got out of college and I am in law school now. Trust me, when you get into law school things change. For one, there is a lot of free food & booze (this equals congregations of single folks with built in conversation topics. You say, "Shit, that professor ____ has us reading 50 pages a night; what a bastard!" She says, "Like, oh my god, me too! Can you get me another beer?"). Everyone is busy as shit, so girls are more likely to hook up for one nighters or friends w/ benes situations because most ppl are either married or if not, they don't want to fool with a b/f or b/f taking up valuable and much needed study time. Non-law-school chicks will want to be with you because you are in law school... just buy a law school shirt and wear it to the coffee shop/bar/grocery store/laundromat. Yes, some see only future earnings potential, but many just see a motivated, intelligent guy who is working to do something with his life. Others are more like groupies and want to say they hooked up with a law school guy...it's kinda like how the seniors get the chicks in high school... and yes law school social circles are much like high school. Anyway...I'm rambling, but you'll enjoy the experience, even if you are stressed as shit (I have one Final left and I'm done for the semester.. woohoo!). Well, I've gone 2 years as it is, and it hasnt been that big a deal. I'm a loner/shizoid type personality. I had a GF for over 3 years and since that nothing. I have kissed, madeout, that sort of thing. Honestly, I think in this last situation I think I was just too nice. There was this chick I was really into but I held back because of the situation.

Thats kindof my dilemma. I hope some of you will understand this.

I dont want to get married for a long time,. I want to be at least 30 and be established in my career,etc. And as far as having a GF, if it is any good,eventually that situation will tend to resemble a marriage or come to a "get married or breakup" point after a certain time.

I have never had sex outside of a relationship, and I dont really see that changing,but See Above^^. Any kind of real relationship will inevitably have the same problems as a marriage. I cant deal with that stuff in my life right now. I am way too self-focused in this point in my life.

So basically, from time to time I definitely want sex, but I dont want the entanglements of a serious relationship. But the catch is, I dont really have sex outside of a relationship.

I hear you on the law school stuff, and maybe I'll have some questions specific to that you will be able to help me with.

This all matters to some extent, but it depends on the individual. It's all about the "What's in it for me?" principle. We all have things we're looking for in another person, and most of us are willing to overlook certain things in certain situations.....if the pot is sweetened enough. 95% of women are less attracted to redheads, but I guarantee you if I had one that Powerball jackpot on New Years Eve, I would have all the dates I could ever want. This is because one is often willing to sacrifice some preference in the interest of getting other needs met.

Think about it this way. Ever meet a really nice girl working the counter at McDonald's or ringing your order up at a Wal-Mart? There are many great people that, for whatever reason, are working these low wage positions, but see if a doctor or lawyer ever give them the time of day.
