Diet and PE?

Diet seems to be one of the very key things for gaining muscle mass but does anyone know if eating a large, healthy and protein rich diet improve gains for PE?
PE is different to bodybuilding but surely your diet will effect your PE gains.

Does anyone have any experience or views on this?

Yes, it does help PE dramatically! Different nutrients serve different purposes:

Protein- cell regeneration (which is exactly what we want in PE- the better the mitosis process- the better gains will be)
Carbohydrates- Energy for the brain and glycogen for the muslces
Fats- Hormone production (which is what we want as well- the better the hormone environment is- the better gains will be)

My advice is- just avoid junk foods and eat only good nutrient sources. :)

I would also add one important consideration on top of diet that is extremely important for bodybuilding and I imagine also very much so for PE, and that is getting proper rest. In bodybuilding the exercises are used to break down the muscles, and it is when one is resting and specifically sleeping that those muscles are then built up bigger and stronger than before. It is for that reason important to make sure you get enough rest if you want your penis to grow when doing PE, because it is during rest that the body heals and builds itself.

Does egg whites do enough to provide 100% of that ?

Here I have to disagree. The penis is not a muscle and even if we make the connection to bodybuilding to just give examples on the mechanisms of growth (stress-adaptation-improvement). It has been debated and proved that only girth work requires rest and it is heavy girth work that requires rest (because if you don't take rests you might lose a significant % of EQ). :)

It's ok to have at least one cheat day sometimes it actually helps your hormones

I believe in the 20:4 diet/fasting. You get more time during the day for PE and work and other activities, since you are fasting for 20 hours per day. In the evening you eat clean food, and you have a window of 4 hours to eat...then repeat the next day. During thd fast I drink water and some coffee.

But you can schedule your eating window earlier also if you like that.

I remember @MosMaster gave me a similar program before but I fell off. But I'm back on track now. Will surely fix my diet over the weekend.

Awesome to hear you're going strong with fasting! You're going to get ripppped in 3-6 months depending on how much fat you need to lose if you keep this up. Just remember to train with heavy weights and eat enough protein at the same time to not lose muscle.

That sounds promising. Have been lazy...fell of the gym. Need to find a solution to this.

He was the one that got me thinking about this. I have quit eating bread as well. But I eat sausage with bread (korv med bröd) sometimes, not the best...
Don't beat yourself up eating a 'bad' meal once in a while. It does not harm you (can even help you actually) if you put emphasis on eating clean. Just try to eat 90% clean or at least 80% clean.

You already know the solution: IBI (intense, brief, infrequent) the reverse pyramid style of training is my recommendation. You can build an amazing physique with only 2-3 days a week. I NEVER train more than trice a week.

Yes indeed, I know the solution. Need to plan this in. Need to prioritize this.

Don't make the mistake of going hardcore on calorie restriction and 20h fasting window only to end up skinny. With your numbers on your lifts, you already have great muscle mass (or at least can build it quickly back up since it was not a long time ago you had that mass).

So, essentially you already did the hard part (which is building muscle) and can now focus on maintaining the mass (and even build more. keyword: LEANGAINS) with 2-3 days a week at the gym 30-40 min sessions. You're already set up for success don't lose it buddy. If you really wanna be a minimalist in this sense do 2, 30 min session a week. Don't tell me you cannot spend 1 HOUR a week at the gym

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah! I don't want to become skinny again, but I want to be healthy and flexible. Need to get back there and lift heavy and do yoga.

For general health maybe. The best tool in this sense, for me, is the mirror and what you yourself are proud of and minimally find acceptable regarding fat. Excessive fat is never good in any way, be it mental or hormonal or anything
I can suddenly run without any problem after losing all this weight (fat) and some muscle mass. That was impossible when my weight was at 120 kilogram. I feel more healthy now. I could run before as well, but that was really tough, and my right knee hurt at that body weight, even when I was walking (I did damage it somewhat in football). But I would say I can not lift that slam ball of 60 kg and walk with it as I used to do.

And listen to this, I can run up stairs without any problems, I just jump up like a bunny with no problems at all. Other things in life have become more interesting to me now.

I think if I just keep this muscle mass and become somewhat leaner I would feel good about myself. But I can never take this to obsession again, that would not work at this point in my life...I can only have one obsession at a time. 😆 A home gym in the future would be optimal for me.

I appreciate our conversations...they are always so educational. You possess great knowledge in many diffrent areas I would say.

This sounds great! How much are you weighing now?

You can have multiple obsessions at once if you have a strong enough 'why' and follow the right (and realistic in practical terms) protocols. That's why I suggested to at least train 2x/week. Aim for minimal effective dose in everything. Ofc PE is more time consuming but we already spoke about this where you said most people just watch tv or some crap 3-4 hours a day so keep that in mind. That's a great way to think about it.

Regarding time window to eat. if 20:4 works for you or 18:6 or 16:8 doesn't really matter. What matters is consistency and seeing slow but steady results over time.

These where good advice. Thank you for them.
You are correct, obsession can be spread out. The reason that I'm defining things I do as obsession, is because I'm either on 200% or off there is nothing in between. If I do something it's all in. But the minimal effective dose is a good mindset to have. This will be a good tool for me.

I have a TV but I do not use it. It's not even any TV channels on it. So indeed I will save time there.

Okey I will stick with 20:4. Become a fat burning machine as they say. Will be interesting to messure myself with the InBody270 in a couple of months...I think I do that the same month I messure my penis. This gave me suddenly more motivation and focus.

I had completely fell off from working out/physical exercise, that's not healthy.

I remember you talked about this IBI stuff in one thread. I don't know if it's on this same progress log or a different thread was created for it.
