Brawn Johnson's Routine and Progress

I am a dirty dog lol and I like it! I never could use anything but Vaseline. It is the best to jelq with, period! But there are some side effects that come with using Vaseline also. It clogs the pours and if you do not get all of it off you skin you will end up with ingrown hairs. It is very hard to remove; I used to be a salesman for my Family Business.. I had to wear suits to work and within a few weeks all of my clothes were stained. So, yes it is the best to jelq with but the side effects outweigh the reward. I switched to an all dry workout (birth of the The SlowSquashJelq!) and never went back. If I ever did wet work I would follow ARKAILIJA advice.

Just quickly noted about the shampoo etc., business; for moisturising effect I suggest Shea butter instead of Vaseline.
Vaseline really isn't that moisturising, it's more of an coating agent.
It can work, I'm not debunking all the qualities of Vaseline, but it's your penis and I'd give it more natural ointments than vaseline. ;-)

Just my "two cents", I personally favor Shea butter and other more natural oils available. Hemp seed oil is more runny, but a good one for conditioning one's skin.
Argan oil is one of my favorites as well.
Shea butter is the closest to "consistency" of vaseline, it it solid in normal room temperature, melts between hands and stays slick.
It isn't comedogenic, so unless you're worried about staining your clothes or something, it isn't a big problem if you don't wipe it off too hard. (I mean, you could be done with a session and feeling fatigued after it, not feeling like cleaning up too much etc..)

Thanks for that, arkailija! I think all I really needed was to STOP doubling up on the baby powder and shampoo for a bit. :D But I'll keep the Shea butter in mind if I ever run into that issue again!

Had a rough week here coming up on Thanksgiving... Didn't really sit down for the workout out but kept myself wrapped at all times! Anyway, I'll kill it this coming week.

Huh... well 'dry' sounds even better, faster, and more convenient! And removal is definitely the thing I'm not liking much about vaseline... it's a whole new chore to take care of! I'll take a look at the SSJ!
 
By the way, I'll start posting each Monday just to check in and give an overview of the week. That way you guys will know I'm still alive. :)

Monday Update:

Thanksgiving week was a bruiser for me and I didn't get as much done as usual. I ended up squeezing in four days, but with only 1 or 2 reps of the basic stretches and sometimes no jelqing. I kept myself wrapped, but I also broke both clips for my ACE bandage and I'm making do while I wait for bulk extras to come in the mail.

I read a DLD thread about the importance of kegels, and going forward I'm just going to start doing them basically whenever I think of it. Further, I will incorporate reverse kegels into stretches and kegels into jelqing!

I took new measurements today, this being about one month after I really started working consistently with DLD's newbie routine, and I'll post them in my measurements post. (See page 1, I'm just going to keep editing that post so that the entire history of measurements is there in one single post).

Gotta say, after burning a few hours trying to catch the elusive "erection" on film, I have a whole new respect for male adult entertainment stars.

First off, welcome brother! Glad you are sticking with it and settling into your routine. Be patient as it will develop organically as you evolve. Stay connected to this thread and update often - it will do wonders. I also had a few suggestions:

1. Definitely incorporate SSJ's into your girth routine. You can do them anywhere(private) really without any tools and they are amazing.

2. Try Jahoba oil for wet jelqing. That's my favortite and it is a non-comedogenic oil that conditions the skin as well (I get a little dry under the glans from hot water pumping)

3. If you can afford it, invest in a LengthMaster and a Bathmate.

4. For pictures, what worked for me was keeping it in my mind that these are just for ME, nobody else. No matter if you decide to share them or not. Definitely KEEP those photos. I lost mine from 2014, and even though I have my measurements, it would be nice to have a visual comparison.

I’m truly laughing out loud but you’re so right the penis does not like rulers or video! The fastest way to kill any erection is to try to measure it for film it LOL. Thanks for your superb update, I can tell you’re taking this very serious and someone who takes this very serious makes incredible gains.

Thanks for the tips and the good vibes! I'll check out the Jahoba oil for sure, and in the new year I'll be investing in some equipment as well. Certainly the LM and leaning towards the Phallosan. What do you guys like so much about the Bathmate series vs the Penomet? Man, you slip the strongest gaitor onto that Penomet and it feels like it's going to rip your wang off...

Yeah the pics are important, and actually I will share them when I end up making notable gains. If this stuff works, I want to provide all the proof I can! My modest contribution to this great cause. ;) Sorry to hear you lost yours! I'm going to experiment with different ways to think of the measuring. It's just... it's not sexy at all... and I need to find a way to make it otherwise!

"Wine-vac mod?" Like, somehow adding a wine-bottle vacuum to the pump? I've never heard of such a thing! Sounds hardcore!

I really like the wife-and-2-friends idea! I'll try that next time!
 
Some of the new Bathmates come with a suction bulb now to increase the vacuum after the initial pump.

But you can do that with the Penomet too - just search "wine vac" here and it should pop up.

After i get my gaitor to grab and do my first pump, I throw a small piece of silicone sleeve over the top of the release valve. The valve is in the locked position.

Then take a regular wine vacuum sealer pump and push it all the way down, place it over the silicone ring(your seal), and then pull upwards to suck more air/water out. I typically point the chamber up, so that air exits first when I do this.

Hope that is clear, and like I said it has been discussed in length here as well....

I tried out the slow squash jelqs today after I found a video of DLD demonstrating. I could definitely feel the intensity on that, and I'm considering swapping SSJ in for my regular jelqs. I love the idea of no cleanup. :)

At the same time, I'm not really sure how to measure the SSJ. With normal jelqs, I can just count the reps and know how much work I got done. With SSJ I can keep track of the time I spend doing it, but then that gets a little messy when you take into account the downtime for getting hard again. I had a harder time getting into a 'zone' with the SSJ, whereas with regular jelqs I'm starting to get better at hitting my target erection % and staying there for a session, and really feeling the pressure over time. Maybe I just need practice with the SSJ too!

So anyway, I'll keep thinking about that.

Another issue that has come to my attention since Monday is 'turkey neck.' It turns out I have one, probably because I have not been holding the skin down at the base when I stretch. If the baby powder magic/perfect grip stars align I can do some of these stretches pretty well with one hand, in which case I'm focusing on following DLD's advice and using my other hand to hold the skin. When I need both hands to get a decent stretch, I'm experimenting with wearing a cock ring as far down the base as I can get it. Some skin slips under it, but it definitely helps!

Another reason they’re so powerful is they’re closed end exercise meaning your trapping the blood from the top and the bottom so no blood is lost. The jelq should be used just to get used to PE after that every man should jump into SRT if they want to make the fastest gains possible.

I am happy you tried the SSJ and I’m very happy that you got excellent results! This always brings me so much joy. God bless you my brother

The only thing that’s better than the SSJ is the Bathmate SSJ workout in SRT called the 5×5×3. This will take the expansion you’re getting now and bring it to a whole new level. Quick Update:

As of this week I am back on track! A very solid week, hitting it every day, never leaving anything out. It's good!

I read a thread from MinceyDice talking about infra red heaters, and decided to pick one up and give that a try so I can 1) warm up passively and get other work done, and 2) keep the heat on all throughout the workout so I don't have a chance to cool down. Allegedly these devices also 'promote healing' in the tissue they hit... not sure to what extent that's a crock, but if that works too then this would really help speed up results!

I'm now thinking about ways to improve my SSJs further. After a little bit of smashing it around, I tend to lose erections and then have to take time to get it back up again. I'm going to try using a cock ring, and also using the "soft wrap" SSJ technique, and see which one works best to help me retain the blood I need for SSJs longer.

Finally, I'm also switching focus a bit more to the healing process. I've done a good job using my wraps, but I'm going to invest in a good multivitamin to supplement my diet, and also focus on drinking more water. That latter bit will start with a big glass in the morning, and a glass before I go to bed!
