Bathmate cushion rings

Hey all. Pretty new to PE and the site. I bought the Bathmate Hydroextreme 9 to start my journey. I purchased the cushion rings as they were recommended. I bought the correct size as well. It’s not the sleeve that comes with it but a separate cushion. I feel like it’s junk. No seal can be attained with it. I’m doing fine without them but was just curious if anyone else uses them, if they are worth a shit, and if I’m doing it wrong.
Bathmate says put it on your cock and pump as normal.

Piece o crap right out the door. I rather get the rubber cushion made for the Bathmate sold in MOS Shop. But I don't need it any more. I found ways around to make the pump's rim from bitting into my skin.
 
I tried the black cushion rings years ago, I was getting over an inch girth each session on the bathmate hydromax 7 as a noob, I couldn't use the bathmate without the cushion ring as i wouldn't get a good seal and my dangle Berry's would start pulling in. When they switched to the grey cushion rings I can't use the pump again for seal issues and pulling in, the grey ones are weak they're to flexible and they pull in which release the water from the pump then is half full of water, so annoying. The black cushion rings are strong, they don't pull in and aren't overly flexible. Now I'm stuck with the grey one which don't work, maybe i will make a stronger base for the cushion ring like plastic or metal then tape it up to give a stronger base, non flexible= better seal, no loss of suction. Don't know if you know of any other alternative's for cushion rings, I really can't use the bathmate without the black cushion rings. P.s I did leave the bathmate on for around 30 minute's each session to get the inch girth gains as a noob.

If you can't use the black ring because of the seal issues, use a larger universal silicone pump donut that matches your pump size. the pump donut normally has a smaller restriction hole, while creating a full seal around your penis, and a much stronger seal for the pump. The cushion from the donut also help to prevent kinking or injury because of the hard lip from the Bathmate/MityVac cylinder.

Just make sure to find the donut with the proper inner diameter to fit the outer diameter of the pump's lip.
