Are You Ready For Some Football???!!!!!!

Definitely ready to see what my Birds are going to do Monday night.

Watched a little bit on Thursday night. The Pats look like they haven't lost a step. Didn't like the Thursday start of the NFL season though. Football should be played at 1 o'clock on Sunday afternoon. I know it's all for the ratings and whatnot; getting more time slots to show football, blah, blah, blah. And I do enjoy the Sunday and Monday night game. But at least start the damn season on Sunday.

The pregame show was ridiculous. It's almost like the game itself is becoming secondary.

Anyway, I'm ready. E-A-G-L-E-S, GO EAGLES!!!

I am a Steeler fan, first and foremost, but I root for Philly as my NFC team. I grew up a Philly fan watching Randall Cunningham work his magic when I was younger. Once the Steelers got rid of Chuck Noll and some of the old stale mentality around here and got Bill Cowher, I began to really feel attached to the home team. Plus, I realized I enjoy living in Pittsburgh and figure I'll be here for the foreseeable future. Anyway, I'd love to see a Pennsylvania showdown in January.

I have to believe that this is the year someone can catch the Patriots. For starters, winning three consecutive championships would be a feat for any team under any circumstances. Now, they've lost a couple of veteran linebackers that anchored the defense as well as both coordinators. I'd be amazed if they won the Super Bowl this year.

Well, like many people, if the Pats win it again, I'll be disappointed. However, I can't say they haven't earned their success. Yes, they're really that good.
 
You're right about that one, I was never a big fan of them anyway.

I have always hated the Sox and I think it stems from a stupid reason, but people do things like this. When I was 11 years old, I was at a summer camp and this prick from Boston and I were always getting into fights and whatnot and all he did was talk up the Sox. I was on cloud nine months later when I watched Dwight Gooden, Darryl Strawberry, Howard Johnson and the rest of the Mets knock them out at the World Series.

Who knows? These things might go both ways. Maybe there is some 30 year-old in Massachusetts that has been gloating over the Pirates being in the basement for years. lol
 
I hate the Yankees so I am on teh Red Sox side. JGman its too bag about them Eagles. Was a good game though, but not as good as the Texas OSU game. Give me one of those a week. :D

I still say "the play" never should have happened. Jeremy Giambi's fat ass was safe. He wasn't tagged on time. :P

all right Penguinsfan! We're on the same page here. OSU blows my balls even though I live in Columbus. lol I was fucking jumping up and down in all the FACES of OSU kids. yeah
